||Geoffrey Haynes, Senior Aikido
Instructor and Judo Instructor. Geoff is a Godan (fifth degree blackbelt) in Shodokan Aikido, awarded
by the Japan Aikido
Association, and a Shodan (first degree blackbelt) registered with
the US Judo
Association. Geoff has over three decades
of aikido and judo experience, having started in 1981 under the founder of our club,
Sensei Yoji Kondo. Geoff holds a JD from Santa Clara University and a BA from
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
||Mike A. Muñoz, Senior Judo
Instructor. Mike is
a Sandan (third degree blackbelt) in Judo, registered with the US Judo
Association. Mike began his judo training in 1995 at the Bob Davis School of Karate in South Texas. Under the guidance of Master Wesley Irizarry Sensei (Rokudan) and Master Rianard Jackson Sensei
(Hachidan), Mike was promoted to Sandan in 2003. Master Irizarry’s judo curriculum was based largely on his experience as a competitor in Mexico City then later refined through the guidance of Shihan Karl Geis and his Fugakukai system in Houston, Texas. In addition, to Judo,
Mike holds the rank of Sandan in Tomiki Ryu Aikido, Shodan in Aiki-Ochiba Ryu Jujitsu, and Shodan in Shindo Muso Ryu
Jyodo. Mike holds an MA in International Commerce and
Policy from George Mason University, an MBA from Texas A&M
Kingsville, and a BA in Accounting from the University of Texas-Pan
||Megan Kirk, Aikido Instructor.
Megan is a Sandan (third degree blackbelt) in
Shodokan Aikido and a Nidan (second degree blackbelt) in Kendo
with 12 years of experience in each art, and a student of Iaido
||Mark Wallace, Aikido Instructor. Mark
a Nidan (second degree blackbelt) in Shodokan Aikido with over
two decades of aikido experience. He has also studied
Yoshinkan Aikido, Asu, and Taiji.
||J. Eric Humphreys, Aikido Instructor.
Eric is a Nidan (second degree blackbelt) in Shodokan Aikido with
over a decade of aikido experience.
||Geoffrey Yeager, Aikido Instructor.
Geoff is a Nidan (second degree blackbelt) in Shodokan Aikido,
and has been with the club for five years. Previously, he
studied Aikikai Aikido for several years.
